Annual Retreat Info for 8th-12th grade

It is time again for our annual retreat! Each year we look forward to a fun time of games, fellowship and bonding at the camp between our students and staff. Please click on the Fall Retreat document for retreat info and send in the registration form by Thursday, September 18.

Parents are welcome to attend the retreat as a chaperone, however space is limited (please note seating arrangements for all students will be assigned by LCS). Please let the school office or Howie Schlichting know if you are interested in attending.

Thank you for your continued support!

We are grateful for a great start to the school year. Thank you to all the families that have chosen LCS! Our theme for the year is “Continue in What You Have Learned ” from II Timothy 3:14,

“But continue thou in the things thou hast learned and been assured of, knowing
of whom thou hast learned them.”

At LCS most Wednesdays are “Casual Days” and are used as an ongoing fundraiser. The cost is $1 and is to be turned into the 1st period or classroom teacher. Participation is optional but those participating MUST follow the LCS Casual Day Guidelines listed below.

Modesty must be the guiding principle.

Boys
  • All shirts must have sleeves and not have any inappropriate symbols or writing on them.
  • If jeans or slacks are worn, they must be neat, not raggedy, and not tight.
  • The very large bell-bottomed and/or baggy pants are not allowed.
  • If 3rd graders and up want to wear shorts, only LCS PE shorts or long, loose athleticshorts may be worn. Shorts must reach to the knee.

  • All girls are asked to wear appropriate, long, loose shirts with sleeves (no white t-shirts, please) and not have any inappropriate symbols or writing on them.
  • If 3rd graders and up want to wear shorts, only LCS PE shorts or long, loose athleticshorts may be worn. Shorts must reach the knee.
  • The very large bell-bottomed and/or baggy pants are not allowed.
  • Leggings and “jeggings” with long shirts and/or shirt dresses are not allowed.

Please note: Administration reserves the right to interpret and enforce its own dress code. Students not conforming to guidelines will be asked to change and will lose the privilege of dressing down on the next casual day.
